Abomination
INT. HOUSE ON FERNOTT. 2:39AM
The Abomination turns to a nearby floor-length mirror. They are shocked to find that they are now in a gorgeous glimmering wedding gown—one they could only have dreamed of.
The camera follows their POV, slowly panning up from the floor towards their face. The Abomination initially reacts in horror—this is the first time they’ve seen themselves since this all began. They touch their face, feeling the skin that has been warped like clay up into demon horns.
Music swells in the background, growing louder as the horror fades from the Abomination’s face. They smile for the first time in years.
Edit: the letter that originally appeared alongside this painting has been omitted. This painting is about me, my happiness, and my journey to self-acceptance. I should never have attributed that hard work to another person.
